My Dog Loves Life! #FuelTheCure

Today I'm joining Oz the Terrier and Sugar the Golden Retriever who are hosting the "Loving Life Contest and Fundraiser" along with Zuke's treats to support the Dog and Cat Cancer Fund!

You know that (unfortunately) dog cancer is an issue that Pooch Smooches is passionate about, so I was happy I remembered to participate, because for each blog post in the hop Zuke's will donate $5 to DCCF!

You can join in too - but time is running out as the contest/hop ends May 22. All you need to do is create a post showing your pet loving life and include #FuelTheCure in the title. (Complete rules and info for the contest are here on Oz's site.)

We're also happy to participate because Rita LOVES Zuke's tasty treats and I love that they donate a portion of their sales to DCCF, which helps pet parents afford cancer treatments for their sick furry family members.

You guys! We met a celebrity this weekend! As fun and exciting as it was, there was a lot of mischief too...

I was super excited to get a chance to meet Sugar (!!) from Sugar the Golden Retriever fame on Saturday!

See Beautiful; Eat (?) Beautiful

Last time, I posted "see and hear beautiful," so this time I thought I'd try both see and eat beautiful.

This Moment - See, Hear and Remember Beautiful

Today we are participating in the {This Moment} See Beautiful blog hop hosted by Sugar the Golden Retriever every 2nd Friday of the month.

And today I not only have a SEE beatiful (and also sea beautiful) treat - I also have a hear beautiful moment for you. 

So, let's start with seeing the sea. This spot is at an overlook on a walk we take about once or twice a week down to the coast. 

 

I love this spot because of the rocky beach. Most of the beaches here are sandy, or big boulders, so this beach is pretty unique. Listen to this wee video - after you hear the roar of the wave itself, there's another beautiful, soothing sound:

Did you hear the rocks are nestling against each other? (If not, crank up the volume and hit replay.) It sounds like rain. Your moment of zen for the day. (You're welcome!)

Remembering Beautiful
January 10th is not only the {This Moment} See Beautiful hop, it's also the 2nd anniversary of our angel Abby heading for the bridge. So, in her honor, here are a few beautiful moments from her.

See Beautiful: It's Easy to See Around Us

This is our first time finally remembering to join the See Beautiful blog hop, hosted by Sugar the Golden Retriever. I love the idea of this hop, but I just kept forgetting to join. Well, I finally remembered!

We always try to see beautiful, especially when we are out on our walks together.

We see it in the grand vistas... (This is a view from one spot on our walks. The air was so clear the other day, you could see the islands in Mexico).

Wordless Wednesday: Sending Out Golden Thanks!

If we're friends on Facebook, you may have seen this already (and if we're not friends on Facebook... why not? Look me up on there!). Anyway, for those of you who haven't seen it - the lovely Sugar the Golden Retriever, with a little help from her mom, made me a video trailer for my new novel, Rescue Me, Maybe!

I was so thrilled that they offered! I sent them the words and the pictures, and they turned it into this:
