Wordless Wednesday: A Study in Contrasts

Today, I present a study in contrasts...these pics having been taken literally less than 1 minute apart:
And she probably went back to sleeeepy within 1 more minute...

Look how wordless I was!

Okay... so let me be wordy for a moment cuz I have to announce the winner of my giveaway, and also a boatload of thank-yous/reminders!

The Winner
The winner of my holiday gifties giveaway is....
Stella Rose at The Three Little Pugs!!

Stella Rose, have your momma email me your address and also ask her to let me know if you want the book signed to someone in particular! (jackiebouchard AT hotmail DOT com). Congrats to Stella Rose!

Thank Yous & Reminders
First of all, thank you to Dakota's Den for the pumpkin flavored KONG treats Rita won! She loves them!

Second... thank you to Sugar the Golden Retriever and her mom for including Rescue Me, Maybe in their Holiday Gift guide! If you are still shopping for your pup or a dog-lover in your life, check out her extensive and helpful guides part 1 and part 2!

Finally, thank you to The Chronicles of Cardigan for including the book in her list of 5 Favorite Whimsical & Comforting Dog-Themed gifts to buy oneself in January! I loved what she wrote about the book - that the story of Jane dealing with the death of both her husband and her dog is "delightful," adding that she knows "'delightful' and 'death' sound peculiar together, but trust me, the whole thing is delightful." Thanks CoC! (You should really check that list out - there's a pawesome butt-sniffing dogs mug on the list!)

And... don't forget that if you like women's fiction/chick lit books, there's still time to:
(a) Enter this giveaway here - a Rafflecopter giveaway of 29 (!) signed paperback books, including a copy of Rescue Me, Maybe.

(b) Enter this charity fund-raiser/giveaway here. If you were going to donate to help the victims of Typhoon Haiyan anyway, why not donate via the link here to Direct Relief. (I looked these guys up on Chartity Navigator and they have a very high rating as almost 100% of the money goes to those in need. They had a huge donation to cover admin costs at one time, so 98.7% of the money you donate goes to the people in need!) You get a tax-deductible donation, and you'll be entered to win one of 13 prize packages, mainly bundles of signed books. (One bundle includes both of my books.) If you don't want the books yourself, you could donate them to a library or a woman's shelter! The goal is to raise $2500, and we're only a bit over $500 so far. You can donate through Dec. 17, with winners announced on the 18th.

Thanks to BlogPaws for sponsoring the Wordless Wednesday hop!

  11. I highly recommend both of your books, they are very good and would be great to relax with over the holiday :)
Funny isn't it how the canines can wake up instantly, while many people (me included) need about thirty minutes with coffee and the paper to get moving haha!
